Ember Recovery, part of YSS, is an experiential, trauma-informed recovery program in central and north central Iowa, with safe and separate spaces for boys and girls ages 12-17 and young adults 18-24. We also provide crisis stabilization, shelter, and residential addiction treatment.

Most importantly, we work with teens, young adults, and families to create hope and opportunity by putting teens and young adults first. Our skilled and experienced team of professionals is trained in a wide range of therapeutic approaches to serve you and your family.
On a journey to recovery, families are an important part. We integrate families into treatment through visits, family therapy, and virtual parent information sessions. We also host Strengthening Families Weekends to allow current residents and their families to connect through learning, meals, and games.
In addition to teaching teens coping skills and strategies to utilize in recovery, we also teach parents how to support their kids through setting boundaries, rebuilding relationships, family bonding, and monitoring.
